One day, my paramedic colleagues and myself had had enough. Enough of being too late. Enough of being the ones who had to tell relatives that “unfortunately, we arrived too late, there was nothing more we could do”.
I changed direction and have since 2006 helped to deploy more than 10,000 AEDs throughout Sweden, as well as educated thousands of people to become first responders. Because everyone can save a life. As long as we help each other, educate ourselves and take responsibility for each other.
Hjärtuppropet is an initiative and a project with the aim of informing, engaging, educating, and contributing to more lives being saved in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
Behind Hjärtuppropet are several companies* in the same line of business that together have the vision that AEDs and CPR trained first responders should be at hand wherever you are. Together we can bring about a change. Every life saved must be worth all the work we do.

There are several other brands of AEDs on the market than the ones that these companies represent. There are also many more companies that offer CPR education.
