Hjärtuppropet is fighting for more AEDs to be available around the clock, in the city, around the corner – yes, simply everywhere! Every place where cardiac arrests occur. We must influence so that as many as possible are trained in CPR, and regularly repeat their knowledge.

Educate yourself
Knowledge is the key to success. For us to be able to save more lives, it is important that both you and your fellow human beings are trained in CPR with AEDs.
For example, talk to your employer or association to get them to arrange training. Sign up for open educations in CPR with AEDs.
Influence
AEDs should be just as self-evident in public places and in the home environment as fire extinguishers.
If you find yourself in a shopping centre, hotel, gym, workplace, shop, or any other public premises – make demands on owners and staff for visible and accessible AEDs.
Influence your local municipality for them to place AEDs available and accessible around the clock for all residents.
Make AEDs available
Take the lead to invest in an AED together with your neighbours. Also, make sure that there is an AED in your workplace.
Choose an outdoor placement for your AEDs so that they are available around the clock! There are no reasons for AEDs to be placed indoors if the premises have limited opening hours. The AED can be insured against theft and damage.
Become an SMS Lifeguard
Download the app to your mobile phone and become an SMS Lifeguard. All that is required is that you have a CPR education and that you are 18 years of age. For more information see smslivraddare.se.
Register the AED
An AED should be used within three minutes of a cardiac arrest. By registering your AED in the national AED register, you help the emergency call operators and the SMS Lifeguards to quickly locate the nearest available AED.
Spread the word
Inform your parents, siblings, relatives, colleagues, classmates, neighbours and even strangers out on the town. Like, comment and above all – share our posts and spread the message.
